Redefine Attribute dialog box

This dialog box lets you enter the necessary information to redefine an attribute of a class in a type model.

Initially, the dialog box shows the information of the attribute to be redefined. You can alter this as long as you observe the feature redefinition rules of ConML.

Elements

Class dropdown list This shows the owner class of the new attribute. You cannot change this.
Name multilingual text box Enter the multilingual name of the new attribute, using identifier syntax.
Cardinality cardinality box Enter the cardinality of the new attribute, and specify whether it should be sorted.
Type dropdown list Select the data type of the new attribute.
Is constant check box Check this box to create a constant attribute; leave it unchecked for a mutable one.
Is temporal check box Check this box to create a temporal attribute; leave it unchecked for a regular one.
Is subjective check box Check this box to create a subjective attribute; leave it unchecked for a regular one.
Is multilingual check box Check this box to create a multilingual attribute; leave it unchecked for a regular one. This only applies for attributes of type Text.
Definition multilingual text box Enter the multilingual definition of the new attribute, or leave blank.
Comments multilingual text box Enter the multilingual comments for the new attribute, or leave blank.

Proceed

As soon as you click OK, ModelDesigner creates the new attribute as a redefinition of the original one.
